The
Wings for Life World Run is a global (running) event where all proceeds go to research for spinal cord injury recovery. Instead of a traditional finish line, a Catcher Car starts after a certain time. Once it catches up to you, your race is over. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people around the world participate, from enthusiastic runners to walkers and wheelchair users, to raise money together for one goal: finding a cure for paralysis. -
There is currently no cure for spinal cord injury. However, a lot of progress has been made in recent years. Scientists worldwide are working on new treatment methods, and various promising therapies are now being investigated in clinical studies. A solution is not yet available, but every discovery brings us one step closer to the moment when recovery becomes possible.
